I was born in 1959 in the north of Russia in Syktyvcar After graduating
school I try became a veterinary doctor but after 4 year of study in Ulianovsk
agricultural institute I was dissapointed of this professon and deside
to became a photographer . There are not photo educatin in Russia, so I
am self educated photographer... like more of us My theachers were Czhekh
Photo magazins ( we had not other foreign magazines here!) and Valery Chekoldin
(now he is in Stern and winner of "INTERPRESSPHOTO") Than I return back
to Komi Republic to Ukhta. Some time I worked as photographer in geologykal
enterpr. and now I'm journalist, photographer and picture editor in "NEP+S"
Newspaper. There I make my money... and sometimes make good street
or landscapes shots. Best of all I like nudes and portraites! But I have
a hard rule - I never portraiting woman if she don't to remove cloth in
front of camera - this is my psykhologikal secret. So I dont like
to portraiting men
I am a member of Russian Union of photoartist and Russian Union of
Journalists
In my opinion there are three kinds of nude images: Pornography
erotic and fine nude art. The firs two are devoted to sexual sphere of
human life. And the last one is devoted to pure, clear art. To my
personal mind pornography is better than erotic art as it is honest,
and it is not art at all. Erotic art is an eclectically mixture of
porno and art. It is not true to both of this trends that is why I donТt
like photos in the Play Boy, Penthouse and so on.
As you see there are a great deal of masterpieces of well-known painters
whom we do not regard as erotic painters. For example Rafael, Rubens, Renoir
etc. Alongside with this masterpieces there are a lot of erotic art like
ancient Indian sculptures or modern Boris Vallejo. and of course I try
to be like the first in the row, and I think that nude photo may and can
be non erotic.
